“You can have it all. Just not all at once.”
― Oprah Winfrey
So let me be full of optimism here and say this is a go. All the bumps have been ironed and settled. I have little in the way of requests. I am going to break your tour down into each theatre and discuss it. I have been backstage of a theatre and most do not vary by much. Backstage images are based on the moment and cannot be planned.
So let’s talk about your theatres and images. Going to make some intelligent guesses on things. Going to assume your normal accompanying musicians are not coming along. To make it quicker and easier, going to use Orchestras based at each theatre? Again, this decision is going to be what makes each and every show unique and un-duplicable.
Looking at the images I can see multiple vantage points for shooting the show. And the zoom lens/telephoto lens is definitely going to come in handy for that. A monopod to help with the weight on the lens. I have gotten used to holding and hefting my 70-200 during hour long concerts. NO Three song limit here. Pre-show scenes will be interesting as well. Part of my talent is that I can and do blend and meld with the audience while the show is going on. After all, I quite get that if the shoes were reversed I would not want my view blocked nor my enjoyment of the show interfered with…course you can and should lightly let the audience know that there is a book about you coming out, built specifically around this tour….pre-boosting never hurts. Especially if we can agree to a percentage from the sale of each book for your foundation, Find Your Light.
When this tour first kicked off it was 21 stops now it is up to 25 stops not counting the Europe stops. When I say the whole tour, I mean the whole tour-and I can already tell looking at some of the theatres listed, there is a great deal of consistency in the audience seating size and type of theatre….which makes this book and tour capture even more important for the number of fans who will not be able to see you performing these stage/screen classics in person.
